Welcome to the webpage of the Nanophotonics and Quantum Optics Group!
Our research focuses on light emitting colour centres in synthetic diamonds. Using optical spectroscopy techniques, we aim to reveal the fundamental properties of these centres.
We are based at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic.
September 2025: Irena attended the 35th International Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials in Glasgow (UK) and presented a poster showcasing the current results of our group.
June 2025: Irena and Mirka joined others to showcase our institute's work at the ninth annual Veletrh Vědy, the Czech Republic's biggest science fair. There, they presented some cool science stuffs to school students and the general public.
March 2025: Mirka joins our lab as a Bachelor's student. Welcome to our group!
February 2025: We have built an absorption/emission setup. Now we will be able to measure diamond samples with relative ease.
November 2024: Lukáš has secured funding from GAČR! This will support our work for the next three years.
November 2024: Our newly built femtosecond pump probe is now operational. We have already started measuring some samples.
