Abstract deadlines:

- Participants who would like to submit the abstract for oral presentation: Sunday, Oct 3rd.

- Regular poster session: Sunday, Oct 10th.

We encourage undergraduates, bachelors, PhD students and research technicians to submit an abstract in one of the three categories planned for this workshop. Distinguished abstracts submitted before October 3rd may be selected for short oral communications and awarded.

Below you will find the major key points and rules needed to prepare your abstract for submission.

Topic and keywords.

· Choose your topic so that it will be reviewed in the appropriate category.

o Computational biology

o Translational oncology

o Cancer cell Biology

· Include up to 5 keywords separated by a comma

Title

· The title should be a single sentence (no paragraphs).

· Length is 50-250 characters (including spaces).

· Do not use all capital letters and do not capitalise the first letter of each word.

· Do not use any abbreviation in the title.

· Do not put a period at the end of the title.

Authors

· Complete first name (not only your initials), initial of the middle name (if applies), and last name.

· Underline the name of the presenting author.

· The maximum number of authors allowed per abstract is limited to ten (10).

· Only one abstract per presenting author will be allowed.

Affiliations

· Department (optional), institution/company, city, country.

Structure of the abstract body:

Abstracts should be structured in such a way as to include the following four (4) sections:

- Background and Aims: A short introduction indicating the rationale of the study

- Methods: A brief description of pertinent methodological procedures

- Results: A summary of the results of the research

- Conclusions: A statement of the main conclusions

· The word limit for all submitted abstracts is set at 300. This limit includes the words appearing only in the abstract body but not the title, author names, key words and institutions.

· Limit use of acronyms and abbreviations.

· Define at first use with acronym or abbreviation in parentheses.

Once you have filled the post-events survey, we will send the attendance/presenter certificate to your email.
