• Verify that all passports (players and parents) are valid. 

• Canadian Birth Certificates or Canadian Citizenship Card are valid travel document for minors (15 and under) crosing the border to the US by land.

• Keep them safely stored in the front pocket of your vehicle or console. Do not bury them in trunks or equipment bags.

If your child is crossing the border with only one parent, a teammate's family, or any other person other than the parents, you must carry a signed (if no other court documents are in place), dated, and notarized travel consent letter giving explicit permission from the non-accompanying parent to cross.

Keep tournament information handy (e.g., address, schedule, etc.), team contact info, and your hotel reservation details to show border officials, if requested. 

• ⚠️ IMPORTANT: U.S. Medical Coverage & Ambulance Notice Please read carefully before crossing the border: Traveling into the U.S. for competitive sports requires comprehensive out-of-country travel medical insurance.

• Ensure your out-of-province/out-of-country travel medical coverage is active and reviewed before crossing into New York State. 

• Ensure your private travel medical policy numbers and the insurance provider's international emergency phone numbers are saved directly in your mobile phone before departure. 

• If a player gets hurt on the field and requires an ambulance transport to the emergency room, U.S. medical services will charge you directly. Without private travel insurance coverage, you will be personally responsible for thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket costs for the ambulance ride, ER doctors, and diagnostic tests (like X-rays or CT scans).
