This extension does not collect:

DATA STORAGE

The following data is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's storage API:

- Pro License Status: Whether you have activated Pro features (Yes/No)

- License Key: Your Pro license key (if purchased)

- Saved Favorites: Historical events you've marked as favorites

- Theme Preference: Your selected theme (Default, Dark, or Vintage)

- Pro Activation Date: When you activated Pro features

IMPORTANT: This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Historical Event Data

The extension fetches historical events from the public "On This Day" API. This API provides historical information and does not collect personal data.

Payment Processing

When you purchase Pro features, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment transactions.

Success Page Hosting

After payment, you're redirected to a success page hosted on GitHub Pages.

PERMISSIONS EXPLANATION

activeTab Permission

Purpose: Opens the Stripe payment page when you click "Upgrade to Pro"

Usage: Only creates a new tab with the payment link. Does not access, read, or modify any webpage content.

storage Permission

Purpose: Saves your favorites and preferences locally on your device

Usage: Stores data using Chrome's local storage API. All data remains on your device.

This extension does not:

- Track your browsing activity

- Use analytics or tracking tools

- Collect usage statistics

- Share data with third parties

- Display advertisements

- View Data: All stored data can be viewed in the extension's Settings

- Delete Data: Remove the extension to delete all stored data
