The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society at the New York University College of Dentistry aims to engender a passion for Oral Surgery within our student body and clinical colleagues.
Through our academic efforts, philanthropic goals and passion for both teaching and learning, we hope to make Oral Surgery an interesting, approachable and engaging specialty for all.
Being in the Honors Program gives students an amazing opportunity to experience the breadth of oral surgery that one normally would not experience while enrolled in dental school.
Students are assigned to shifts in multiple clinics, assist in OR cases and take call with residents.
This gives one an advantage over students from other schools who are going into interviews and residencies with much less exposure.
