OmniEye — App Features & Highlights

App name: OmniEye

App Package: com.jimp.omnieye

Category: Tools / Productivity

Tagline: Offline app permission & resource inspector for Android.

OmniEye is an offline Android inspector for app permissions, privacy risk, storage use, network traffic, battery-drain estimates, and resource trends. Audits and calculations run on your device. OmniEye does not upload your audit history to an OmniEye cloud.

Add apps you care about, review what they request and use, and see how they consume storage, data, and energy. Usage Access is optional but unlocks traffic, storage breakdown, permission-use frequency, and battery-estimate rankings. You stay in control of what OmniEye can read.

What you can do

- Privacy health at a glance — See an overall privacy-oriented score derived from apps on your audit list.

- Device storage overview — Check used vs total device storage (StatFs) without broad file-storage permissions.

- Top resource leaders — Rank audited apps by storage, 24-hour traffic, permission-use frequency, or battery estimate index.

- Battery estimate index — With Usage Access, OmniEye shows a relative drain score (0–100), not system mAh/%. Approx. score = foreground hours×12 + 24h traffic MB×6 + 24h sensitive API calls×1.5 (capped at 100). Higher means more estimated drain. Tap the in-app “?” on Battery for the same short formula.

- App audit list — Add installed apps to a local watchlist and sort by privacy score, traffic, storage, or battery index.

- Permission review — See requested vs granted permissions in plain language, with dangerous permissions highlighted.

- Storage breakdown — With Usage Access, view app size, data, and cache via system storage stats APIs.

- Traffic & activity signals — With Usage Access, review recent network use and permission-call frequency computed locally.

- On-device SDK scan — Open an app’s audit detail to start a local static scan of common third-party SDKs in that app’s APK (results stay on device).

- External domains & IPs — Inspect the hard-coded domains and public IPs inside an app’s APK, with live DNS status and RDAP registration details (registrar, creation/expiry), plus optional port probes. Lookups are on-demand and cached on device.

- Device identifier scan — Check whether an app’s code references hardware identifiers (IMEI / MAC / ICCID / serial / OAID / Android ID) that could be combined into a persistent device fingerprint, with a risk level.

- App source & signing — See where an app was installed from (official store / sideload), its target and min SDK, and its APK signature details (scheme, key strength, certificate validity) to spot sideloaded or weakly signed apps.

- Multilingual UI — Full interface in 17 languages (English, Chinese simplified/traditional, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Malay, Indonesian, Hebrew, Hindi, and Turkish).

- Shareable audit snapshot — Capture a long screenshot of an app’s audit view and share it via the system share sheet.

- System deep links — Jump to Android’s native permission or app-info screens to revoke access or clear data.

- On-device history — Daily storage snapshots and watchlist data stay in a local SQLite database. There is no OmniEye cloud sync.

- Optional ads — Android builds may show a sponsored AdMob banner (and optional rewarded ads). Ad data is handled by Google; see the Privacy Policy.

Designed for

- Users who want transparency into what installed apps request and consume (permissions, storage, traffic, and battery estimates)

- People who prefer local analysis without creating an OmniEye account

- Privacy-conscious Android users who want clear Usage Access disclosure before granting stats access

Important notes

- OmniEye is Android-only. Full native audit features require a production/dev-client build (not Expo Go).

- Usage Access is required for traffic, detailed storage stats, permission-use frequency, battery estimate index, and related rankings. Permission lists for added apps can still be reviewed without it.

- Battery figures are estimates computed on-device from local activity signals. They are not the same as Android’s system Battery screen (mAh / %).

- OmniEye does not request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. Storage insights use system APIs such as StatFs and StorageStatsManager.

- OmniEye does not collect your audit records onto developer servers — we do not operate an OmniEye cloud for audit data. Sponsored ads use Google Mobile Ads; see the Privacy Policy.

Download OmniEye and keep your permission and resource insights where they belong: on your device.

FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

1. Offline-first — Audits and trends computed on-device; no OmniEye cloud account.

2. Permission clarity — Requested vs granted permissions with privacy-oriented scoring.

3. Storage & traffic leaders — Rank apps by disk use and 24-hour data consumption.

4. Battery estimate — Relative 0–100 score from foreground time, traffic, and sensitive API calls (not system mAh); sort and top-10 by battery.

5. Transparent Usage Access — Clear in-app disclosure before opening system settings.

6. Local SQLite history — Watchlists and storage snapshots stay on your phone.

7. Share audits — Export a long screenshot via the system share sheet.

8. AdMob disclosure — Sponsored ads (if shown) are third-party; product data stays local.

9. Network targets & domain insights — Hard-coded domains/IPs with DNS status and RDAP registration info (on-demand, cached locally).

10. Source & signing integrity — Installer, certificate, and signature-scheme checks flag tampered or weakly signed apps.

11. Device-identifier scan — Detects IMEI/MAC/serial-style collection code that could fingerprint a device.

12. Multilingual UI — 17 languages with RTL support.
