Welcome to Resume Builder Pro ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you enter when creating resumes. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices regarding your personal details, permissions, and security.
2. OFFLINE-FIRST & LOCAL DATA STORAGE
Our application operates strictly on an offline-first architecture:
- All information, personal details, and resumes you create are stored 100% locally on your device's internal storage using a local database (Hive) and preferences.
- We DO NOT upload, transfer, transmit, or store your resume data on any remote servers, cloud databases, or third-party storage.
- We DO NOT sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with any third parties or advertisers.
3. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
When using the app to build your resume, you may input:
- Contact Information: Full name, job title, email address, phone number, location/address, and web links (e.g., LinkedIn, portfolio).
- Career Details: Work experience, job responsibilities, company names, employment dates.
- Education: Degrees, universities/colleges, graduation years, GPA, and academic details.
- Additional Sections: Skills, projects, certifications, awards, volunteer experience, languages, and interests.
- Profile Photo: A photo selected from your device's gallery to be displayed on your resume template.
All of this data remains solely under your control on your physical device.
4. DEVICE PERMISSIONS & PURPOSE
To function properly, the app requests the following system permissions:
- Storage / Photos / Media: Required to allow you to select a profile photo from your photo gallery and to save/download generated PDF resume files to your device storage.
- Internet Access: Used strictly to fetch standard open-source typography fonts via Google Fonts when rendering templates. No user resume data is ever sent over this connection.
5. DOCUMENT GENERATION & SHARING
- Local PDF Compilation: Resume rendering and PDF compilation occur entirely on your device's local processor.
- Sharing: When you choose to share your resume via the "Share" button, the PDF file is handed over to your device's native sharing sheet (e.g., WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Drive). The transmission occurs only when you manually initiate it to your chosen recipient.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
- You have complete authority over your data.
- Editing or Deleting: You can edit or permanently delete individual resume entries or entire resumes directly from within the app at any time.
- App Uninstallation: If you uninstall the app, all local data, resumes, and stored preferences are permanently and irreversibly removed from your device.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The application does not include any third-party behavioral analytics, advertising SDKs, or user tracking tools. We use standard open-source libraries:
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) for typography rendering.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
