Amelie Saint-Dizier
Member, former President
My name is Amelie Saint-Dizier, and I am originally from France. I came to the United States after graduating from high school. My opportunities were limited because I did not speak English; however, I was offered an Athletic Scholarship to play tennis. After completing my associate degree at Eastern Arizona College, I transferred and completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Post-graduation, I worked my first full time job prior to starting my master's degree in Athletic Training at Florida International University. Last summer, I had the chance and opportunity to intern with the Seattle Seahawks professional football team for eight weeks within the athletic training program. It was an amazing and unbelievable experience where I could learn from highly qualified health care providers. I am currently interning with another professional team, Miami FC, which challenges me every day to be a future athletic trainer. My career goals include working as an Athletic Trainer in the National Football League or in the Major Soccer League.
As a UTPB alumni, I will always be grateful for this beautiful institution that gave me the opportunity of being a student athlete and making my future career possible.
