What version of Minecraft was this modpack designed for?
Currently, this modpack is running inside the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft. Development is being made for version 1.12.2, however it is still off in the distance and there is no ETA currently available regarding public availability.
Not enough RAM / The game won't launch or crashes in the middle of loading. Why is this happening?
Most likely this is due to your computer not giving Minecraft enough RAM because either Java isn't 64-bit, or you have not allocated enough RAM to the game. A minimum would be 4-5GB of RAM, a recommendation would be 8-10GB of RAM. See the solution Here.
Why isn't something working after an update?
This is a semi-common issue that is resolved by reinstalling the modpack after backing up your saves. You can do this by: Opening the Technic Launcher > Select the modpack > Click on "Modpack Options" > Click "Open" next to the "Install Folder" > Copy the "Saves" folder to another location > Click the "Reinstall Pack" button > Copy the "Saves" folder back into the modpack install folder > Launch the game.
My game is lagging in singleplayer / multiplayer. Blocks are not breaking and entities are taking forever to respond.
This is generally considered normal behavior in this modpack. It's so massive that even on pretty powerful computers, in singleplayer, it can and will lag the heck out of the game. You can try to remove mods selectively to reduce this problem, but other than that, there are not many solutions currently available to deal with it.
Server-Sided Questions
My server console is getting flooded with error messages.
The problem is most likely related to the Aura Cascade mod. You can suppress these messages by editing your "server.properties" file and setting "snooper-enabled=false". This should not negatively impact the stability of the server.
What server specs should I have to host a server? What specs do you use to host your server?
There are a lot of variables involved with hosting this modpack on a server with little lag. We cannot objectively tell you what system requirements exist to run this modpack perfectly, however you can see the server specifications for the CyberWolf's Emporium server Here.
My server is running out of space because the FTBU backups are running too often. How do I change the backup rate?
You can edit the rate of world backups by navigating to the configuration files for each of the two world backup mods:
Why are there are two world backup mods? How do I disable one of them?
You may have noticed that there are two separate world backup systems in place. The first is the "FTBU" backup, and the second is "Aroma Backup". You shouldn't need both of these running side-by-side, as it would needlessly take up harddrive space, so feel free to disable one of them and keep the other running. You can do this by editing one of the respective files to disable the specific mod:
Why isn't Veinminer (Ore Excavator) mod installed in the modpack?
This mod wasn't added to the modpack because it has a known issue with completely breaking the functionality of hammers and other pickaxes from several other mods in the pack. It is not worth the trouble, and unless the mod creator works directly with us, we do not foresee implementing this mod in the future.
What is the name of the mod that utilizes workers?
The name of that particular mod is "Ancient Warfare".
