Thank you to Coach Alexa for this incredibly kind five star review:
"Olympics Edge Timing puts on an exceptional race day experience, providing reliability, definite professionalism, and precise + efficiently-published race results. Owners Coach Nigel and Coach Chris, with extensive coaching and racing backgrounds themselves, bring a true passion for the sport and its ability to build strong community, to all that they do. They have a keen eye for knowing exactly what is needed to deliver a holistically excellent meet/race, and go out of their way to provide dynamic and thoughtful support to all involved. Speaking from the perspective of a coach myself, there are many changes that can develop on meet/race days, and it takes a team to get it all done. When asking Olympics Edge Timing to time races, I know that they are there ready to enable the most rewarding experience possible for all - racers, coaches, race staff, and race day supporters. Furthermore, their origin is deeply rooted in community and giving back, as evidenced by the All-Comers Food Drive Track Meets they have brought to our community; these provide not only an opportunity for families and runners of all backgrounds to race free of charge, but also an opportunity to give back to our local community together."

As runners, we know every second counts—whether you're a middle school athlete setting a new PR or a high school coach evaluating your varsity lineup. At Olympics Edge Timing, we specialize in professional timing services for Kitsap County schools, delivering fast and accurate results.
We’ve designed our approach to make meet day simpler, smoother, and more reliable for schools across Bremerton, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Port Orchard, Kingston, and Bainbridge Island.
Long waits for handwritten or manually calculated results can cause confusion and delay awards, scoring, and parent communication. That’s why we process and upload results as quickly as possible—often within minutes of each race finishing.
Our goal is to give coaches immediate access to data, keep athletes engaged, and provide spectators with a better overall experience.
Results are posted online as soon as they’re processed, so teams, athletes, and families can access them quickly—often before they’ve left the course. We also provide formatted results for athletic.net upload, making it easier for coaches to stay organized throughout the season.
We’re proud to support schools and programs across Kitsap County. We’re equipped to manage results professionally so you can focus on your team and the meet itself.
Timing is just one piece of meet day—but it’s a big one. Let us handle the details so you can coach, organize, and enjoy the event.
If your school is looking for dependable, tech-forward timing support in Kitsap County or Western Washington, we’d love to connect. Reach out today to learn how we can support your next track or cross country meet.
We are forever grateful to everyone who came out to 'compete' in our first All Comers Meet. It was so exciting to see athletes of all ages run events they've been training for, or try track for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by how many runners jumped in for the 5,000 Meter event in that heat! Nice work, all around!
Behind the scenes, that was by far the best opportunity we've had to practice using the equipment and software. Coach Chris will be bringing a wagon overflowing with food donations to the food bank.
Results of the meet are posted here: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/618080/results
Kudos to Jonny & Hayden of North Kitsap Run Group for their expert photography skills! They host a casual, scenic run/jog/walk in Poulsbo, starting at 6:00 PM at Valholl Brewing in Poulsbo on Thursdays. Highly recommend!
Thank you all again, and we will keep you posted when we plan another meet.

The 2025 track and field season is just around the corner, and across Kitsap County, athletes, coaches, and schools are gearing up for another exciting year of competition. Whether you're part of a middle school team building its foundation or a high school program chasing league titles, this season promises strong competition, updated timing technology, and a continued focus on athlete development.
At Olympics Edge Timing we’re proud to support Kitsap’s growing track scene by providing accurate, professional meet timing. Here’s a preview of what local schools can expect this year.
Schools in Bremerton, Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Kingston, and Port Orchard are all seeing steady growth in team sizes and meet participation. This means more heats, deeper competition, and tighter schedules. The 2025 Kitsap track schedule will reflect this demand with additional dual meets, invitational events, and expanded postseason opportunities.
Middle school programs, in particular, are expected to host more meets than in previous years, giving younger athletes more experience before high school.
One of the biggest improvements this year will be increased access to fully automatic timing (FAT) and live result tracking. Schools using our timing services will benefit from:
FinishLynx photo-finish technology
Fast, accurate results published live online
Less waiting between events and for final scores
Improved accuracy for qualifying times and records
This means coaches can spend less time managing data and more time coaching. Parents and athletes will have results available quickly, often before they even leave the stadium.
With more meets and larger fields, planning ahead will be essential. Here are a few tips for schools preparing for 2025:
Book timing services early: Our fall and spring schedules fills fast. Reach out now to reserve your dates.
Prepare meet rosters digitally to ensure smooth pre-meet setup and faster check-ins.
Coordinate with timing teams ahead of time for specific equipment needs or facility considerations.
Communicate with families early about the meet calendar, arrival times, and travel plans.
When meet-day logistics are handled well, athletes and coaches can stay focused—and that’s where we come in.
At Olympics Edge Timing, we’re more than timers—we’re coaches too. We understand the pressure and pace of a meet day and are here to make it easier for schools, staff, and athletes.
Whether you're in Silverdale, Port Orchard, Kingston, Poulsbo, Bremerton, or Bainbridge Island, our goal is to make your 2025 meets efficient, accurate, and athlete-focused.
If your school is hosting a meet this season, let us take care of the timing—so you can focus on your team.
In Western Washington, cross country is more than a sport—it’s a test of endurance, mental strength, and adaptability. From the wooded trails of Bainbridge Island to the rolling hills of Port Orchard, each course offers a unique experience. We’ve had the opportunity to work on many courses throughout Kitsap County. Whether you're designing a new layout or refining an existing one, here are the key elements that define a great cross country course in this region:
The best courses challenge athletes with a variety of terrain that requires both speed and strategy. In Kitsap County, we’ve seen successful course designs that include:
Gradual and steep inclines that test stamina
Downhill segments that allow runners to pick up speed
Forested paths that demand focus and footwork
Open grass fields that are ideal for race starts and spectator viewing
Courses with this kind of variety help athletes grow and keep races competitive.
A well-marked course is essential. Courses should include:
Clear directional signage, flags, or cones
Volunteers at key intersections
Maps available for teams and spectators
Because weather and wooded environments here in the Pacific Northwest can reduce visibility, it’s important that signage is highly visible and consistent. Well-planned spectator areas also make it easier for families and coaches to follow the action and support their runners.
Reliable timing requires thoughtful course setup. For our team to deliver accurate and timely results, we look for courses that allow:
Enough space at the finish line for timing tent and equipment
A clean finish chute with minimal congestion
Electrical access or portable power where needed
A successful cross country course also supports the logistical needs of athletes, coaches, and fans. Important details include:
Adequate parking for buses and families, especially in areas like Kingston or rural Bremerton
Clearly marked athlete check-in stations
Designated areas for team tents and warmups, away from the main race route
These behind-the-scenes details contribute significantly to the overall success of a meet.
At Olympics Edge Timing, we’re proud to support cross country programs throughout Kitsap County—Including Bainbridge Island, Kingston, Bremerton, Silverdale, Central Kitsap, and Port Orchard. As timers and coaches, we understand what it takes to run a successful meet and are committed to making every race a smooth and rewarding experience.
With so many moving parts—athlete check-ins, warm-ups, course monitoring, volunteer coordination—timing shouldn’t be another burden. Let us take that responsibility off your plate. Our professional timing services ensure accurate results, smooth finishes, and fast reporting, so you can focus on your athletes and the overall flow of the event.
If you're organizing a meet this fall, we’re here to simplify the process. Email us at OlympicsEdgeTiming@outlook.com to get your meet on the schedule.
Track and field is more than just a season—it's a celebration of hard work, discipline, and community. Whether you're a coach, athlete, or parent, you know how important it is for meets to run smoothly. At the heart of that smooth operation is something you might not think about until it goes wrong: timing.
We’re Olympics Edge Timing and as local coaches and timers, we understand how critical accurate and efficient race timing is for school meets. Here's why professional timing isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential.
Track and cross country are sports of seconds—and often, hundredths of a second. Whether it’s the difference between qualifying for districts or setting a personal best, every athlete deserves precision.
Professional timing systems use high-speed cameras, live finish line technology that remove human error. We make sure every result reflects the athlete’s true performance.
We've been in your shoes. As coaches, you’re managing warm-ups, answering parent questions, watching athletes, and reviewing meet strategy. Trying to also run a stopwatch or manage a timing app? That’s a recipe for chaos.
When we handle the logistics of timing and results, you get to focus on what matters most: your athletes.
Gone are the days of waiting 48 hours or more for results to post. With our professional timing service, results can be displayed live or within minutes after each race finishes. This keeps athletes engaged, helps with award ceremonies, and makes for a better experience for spectators and coaches alike.
We’re not just timers—we’re runners and coaches ourselves. We understand the rhythm of a meet, the pressure on athletes, and the need to adapt when conditions change. That experience helps us anticipate your needs and solve problems before they arise.
We’re proud to serve schools across Kitsap County—including Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Port Orchard, Poulsbo, and Silverdale. Our mission is to elevate the experience for every athlete, coach, and team we work with.
We’re not just showing up with a timer—we’re investing in the future of our local running community.
