Bat Speed Lab (MONDAY)
Movement creates speed. Speed creates opportunity.
The Bat Speed Lab is where we test, train, and develop the movements that produce faster, more explosive swings.
Bat speed matters. More bat speed can produce higher exit velocity and give hitters a greater opportunity to drive the baseball. But the answer isn’t simply taking more swings—or swinging a heavier bat.
That’s why our Lab starts with the athlete.
Players train movement, rotational power, coordination, intent, and bat speed using methods and tools from some of the leading names in baseball and performance training, including Driveline Baseball, 108 Performance, and CrossOver Symmetry.
Training includes overload and underload bats, Driveline Speed Trainers and plyos, 108 Performance water bags, CrossOver Symmetry Torque, medball work, PVC and long-bat training, game bats, and other purpose-built implements.
Every tool has a job.
The goal isn't to collect swings.
The goal is to develop the physical qualities that help produce a faster, more athletic swing.
This is a structured work session—not a traditional hitting lesson. Once players understand the movements and exercises, the emphasis shifts toward purposeful, independent work with coaches providing feedback, adjustments, and objective measurement when needed.
Our approach is built on three principles:
Train with purpose. Every drill and every implement serves a specific objective.
Train with variety. Different tools create different movement challenges and adaptations.
Train with feedback. Bat speed, HitTrax data, and other objective measures help us track progress and adjust training.
Always learning. Always testing. Always refining.
The Bat Speed Lab will continue to evolve as we learn more, test better methods, and add new training tools. We don't believe bat speed solves everything. We do believe it is an important, trainable part of becoming a more dangerous hitter.
Best suited for players with an established swing who are ready to train for more bat speed, power, and athleticism.
