I am Oluwaseyi Fasunhan, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the Department of Linguistics, Languages, and Cultures at Michigan State University, where I also serve as a research assistant.
Before joining the SLS Ph.D. program at Michigan State, I taught Yoruba as a second language at the Yoruba Language School of New South Wales and the JH Yoruba Language School in Australia. I also taught Yoruba as a second language at MSU to undergraduate and graduate students as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant.
My research interests include LCTLs/African language pedagogy, TBLT, Language Assessment, Curriculum/material development, students’ engagement, emotions, and motivation in the second language classroom.
