This year you will be working hard towards becoming an independent and responsible student. The best way to achieve this goal is to try your very best everyday!

• Develop an understanding of multiplication and division and strategies within 100 and of fractions, especially unit fractions (fractions with numerator 1). 

Reading

• We will be reading with greater fluency and using reading strategies and skills more efficiently (rereading, questioning, inferencing, etc) to better understand the story.

• Spend time reading daily and use reading to research topics

Spelling/ Vocabulary 

• Use word identification strategies to read and spell unknown words

• Determine the meaning of unknown and multiple meaning word and phrases 

Writing

• Write about a range of topics to suit different audiences. 

• Punctuate simple sentences correctly and proofread your own work.

• Deepen our understanding of the history of the Church and how it came to be and that as members of the church we continue to come together to worship as disciples of Jesus.
