The research I have conducted so far is highly interdisciplinary and requires the development of methods that are transversal to the usual tools in order to respond to societal issues. My activities revolve around the study of "intelligent" embedded systems and concern, more specifically, the definition of signatures characterising the observation of interest, the design with a small footprint, and the understanding of the effects at the interfaces for the compensation of the environment on the system. My main area is in the field of health and well-beeing.
Today, my main projects are the project SmartGait ( with a new joint Lab with Bluelinea, a chair with the foundation Leonie Chaptal, the University of Glasgow, University of Maroua, Hospital of Yaoundé 1, Nursing House of Neuville sur Oise) and my new start-up ECHOVI.
SMART EMBEDDED SYSTEMS FOR HEALTH
Over the past few years, there was an explosion in the number of research projects in the engineering and life sciences applied to medical problems with societal and economic challenges. These projects can generally be separated in two types; either in the service of surgical acts to improve their precision, make them less invasive or more effective, or in the service of the patient to improve his/her everyday life within the framework of a loss of autonomy due to a disease. The common point of these projects is their multidisciplinary character which allowed bringing to the foreground research themes in various disciplines. For example in electronics, those research themes are biocompatible implants design, BANET (Bodysuit Area Networks), Lab-on-Chip, bio-inspired systems, etc…
