I am an incoming postdoc at University of New Mexico. I earned my PhD this spring from University of Michigan; my advisors were Karen Smith and Mel Hochster. My research is in commutative algebra. In particular, I developed the idea of “p-monomials” in order to define and study combinatorial classes of mixed characteristic rings. I am passionate about teaching mathematics; my goal is to give students a deep conceptual understanding of the material and to instill joy, creativity, and confidence.
I also fold a lot of origami. If you see me at a conference, ask me to make you something! :)
