Dr. Olivia Oxendine has over 50 years of experience in public education. Beginning her career as a high school English teacher, she has served in various educational settings and across other states. Appointed by Governor Pat McCrory, Dr. Oxendine has held a seat State Board of Education since 2013. She is well-versed in education, K-16.
A proven problem solver, Dr. Oxendine will bring extensive experience to the Moore County School Board. She has successfully helped struggling schools reverse years of low performance.
