Once a year, for over a decade, four friends, Mort, Craine, Nula, and Mandy, lock themselves in a room for 24 hours to play creative games they once believed would make them artists. What started as a ritual of possibility has started a state of implosion. Mort has traded artistic risk for stability, convinced he’s already aged out of his dreams. Craine resists change, waiting for inspiration to find him while life passes by. Nula works creatively, but at a cost, juggling survival jobs and the quiet fear that meaning is slipping through the cracks. And Mandy, returning after a mysterious year away, tries to hold the group together while questioning what she herself has been running from. As old games unravel into uncomfortable truths, the friends are forced to confront the line between artistic integrity and financial survival and whether holding onto creativity is brave, selfish, or simply necessary.
