Hello! My name is Olivia Liu and I am a third-year student majoring in Business Administration with a minors in Philosophy and Economics. When asked why I selected these fields of studies, my answer is this: the business curriculum teaches one to branch out, while philosophy teaches one to look inward. Business courses allow me to go out of my comfort zone and foster skills in public speaking, writing, leading, and managing. The philosophy curriculum teaches the nuances of argument, the importance of self-reflection, and the critical skill of asking the right questions. I am considering a career in the legal field and hope to integrate my business education. Antitrust law is my area of focus in published research and it combines my educational interests of business and law nicely, hence the Economics degree.
