Hi! I'm Olivia. I'm a health behavior and policy researcher. My general research areas are mental health, substance use disorder, HIV, Hepatitis C, and incarceration as a health determinant. I also have experience and expertise in: LGBTQ+ health, health impacts of climate change and disaster, mental health and depression, health disparities and health equity, social determinants of health, Medicaid, and program evaluation. I use mixed methods approaches, health behavior frameworks, and community-partnered research approaches to do my research.
Core values I inject in my work are a sense of community, ambition, and precision. I feel that the best research is done with community, for community, with the common goal of solving public health problems efficiently and effectively. I have a strong sense of responsibility to do my work in a way that is rigorous while also being welcoming and approachable.
Projects I'm working on right now center access to MOUD, naloxone saturation, xylazine as an adulterant in the drug supply, and incarceration and HCV elimination.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our daughter, and our two dogs.
