I am an applied economist working at the intersection of economic history, development economics, and political economy. My research focuses on the long-term impact and origins of institutions. I examine how these institutions influence economic behavior, civil society, and political preferences over time.

I hold a PhD in Economics from Freie Universität Berlin and am a fellow of the Joachim Herz Foundation. Currently, I work as a research fellow at the Institute of East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
