OliverMoody (they/she/he/siya) traces their roots of healing to sea-faring ancestors, descending from the land where the sun first rises. They tend to the collective as a Filipino American poet, writer, and documentary filmmaker. As the first-generation born in the San Joaquin Valley of California, their stories are steeped in carrying the memories of land and sea across vast distances. Now based in Milwaukee, Oliver creates spaces for marginalized communities to share their narratives authentically. Understanding and unpacking their own trauma informs their work as a non-binary creator. A fierce command of foreign languages and mean kitchen skills ensure that Oliver is always among supportive allies and friends as they navigate the act of showing up for healing.
