Tygarts Creek provides a beautiful and sometimes challenging kayak / canoeing voyage. It can be accessed in front of the trailhead in downtown Olive Hill and the east end of town on Fields Bridge Loop. Tygarts will take you to the entrance of Carter Cave State Resort Park, approximately a six hour to an eight hour trip. The journey showcases gorgeous and interesting views of land formations, such as some natural palisades.
