I Greci in Italia: la Magna Grecia / Greeks in Italy

I delivered a guest lecture in Italian for the Dickinson College Department of Italian, for a Senior Seminar on “Italy as a Mediterranean and Global Crossroad” (Winter 2022). I highlighted the cultural and archeological traces of Italy's Greek past in Southern Italy, and introduced the students to topics such as the Tarantella, a folklore dance in Southern Italy, and theatrical representations of ancient Greek plays in Sicily.

Homer’s Odyssey and Naomi Iizuka’s Anon(ymous)

In Fall 2021, I delivered a guest lecture on "Homer’s Odyssey and Naomi Iizuka’s Anon(ymous)" for the Department of Theatre and Dance at UC Davis. I introduced the students to Homer's Odyssey and to the reception of the epic tale by playwright Naomi Iizuka. I also talked about Community Engaged Theater, and I discussed themes of displacement, immigration, and identity in Anon(ymous).
