Press SERVICES on your remote control.
Navigate to SYSTEM SETUP using the arrow buttons or by pressing 4 on your remote control.
Press SELECT to enter the PICTURE SETTINGS menu.
Adjust the options to your preferences.
Picture Format: If you are using a widescreen TV (16:9) we recommend setting this to 16:9 so your picture isn't stretched. If you are using an older TV (4:3) we recommend setting this to 4:3.
Second Location Picture Format: Identical to Picture Format, but on any secondary TVs connected to your box, such as TVLinks.
SCART Control: If compatible, this option allows your Sky box to turn TVs on and select the correct input. We recommend this is left on, but not all TVs will work with this.
Video Output: We recommend this is set to RGB for best quality image. You will need to use PAL if your TV is not compatible, or you are using a low quality SCART cable.
Contrast: We recommend this is set to Low for accurate image. However this is more a personal preference and may differ.
Search & Scan Banner Timeout: Changes how long the banner you see when you change channels is displayed, before hiding.
On-Screen Icon Timeout: This option sets how long on-screen graphics (e.g BBC's 'Press Red') will appear before hiding.
Message Alert: Defunct feature. This used to show a light on your Sky box if you received a message on Sky Active.
Navigate to SAVE NEW SETTINGS using the arrow buttons and press SELECT on your remote control.
