I have the greatest hits version of the game, and instead of going straight to the game, it goes to this screen of a small waterfall. You can continue to the main game, or play demos of either Tomb Raider II or Ninja, another Eidos game. But no matter what I search, nobody seems to remember this screen. What about you guys?

There are great hits that may have escaped your memory, but trust me, they rest cherished in other recesses of our national consciousness. And they rest uneasy in certain repositories of our national conscience.

The band that started out as Dave Grohl's post-Nirvana vanity project has now outlasted most other big alt-rock bands of the 1990s, and they're still selling out arenas. So that means it's high time for a Foo Fighters greatest hits album. On November 3, Roswell/RCA will release Foo Fighters Greatest Hits.

The collection will include two brand new tracks, "Wheels" and "Word Forward". The band debuted the former at a July 4 White House barbecue, and you know you're big time when you're doing stuff like that. They recorded both songs with producer Butch Vig, and we all remember what happened the first time Dave Grohl worked with that guy. Greatest Hits will also include the following selections: "The Pretender", "All My Life", "Learn To Fly", "Best of You", "Times Like These", "My Hero", and "Everlong". No word on a complete tracklist just yet.

Who is baseball's greatest hitter? That debate will never have a clear winner. But Williams probably produced more hits, more admiration and more mixed feelings from his own hometown fans than anyone who ever played.
