Another busy year, work in a garden never stops but that is the challenge, the volunteers that come together for our clean up days enjoy their time together and at the end of the day the reward of a job well done.
Our first Open Day on the 20th August was unfortunately blighted by the heaviest rainfall we had had for weeks but those who visited the Pet Cemetery were generous with the congratulations on what we have achieved and also in their donations which we rely on for equipment, cleaning fluids , weed killer and plant food to name but a few.
We are proud of having achieved the majority of our aims which you can read listed below.
Aims
Refresh the Memorial Stones
Replant the garden with environmentally friendly plants
Install bird and bat boxes
Repair Seating
Map Stones in the Cemetery
Invite Educational visits from school groups
Possible Memorial Wall for commemorative Plaques.

Stone cleaning following advice from a stone mason this has been stared but is on going

Installation Boxes 4 bird boxes, one Bat Box, two bug hotels and two bug boxes installed

Council Grant (17th May GT) Decorative Arch, Stone Seat, Wall Mounted Notice Board in place
Publicity Article in Autumn issue London Landscapes magazine for London Parks and gardens Trust
Article in Greenwich Time 17th May 2016 part of Community Grant Scheme
Water Access Locked Boxed Tap Installed
Highways Department Street sign currently being made, keep a look out it will be blue with
a white paw print and the words “The Old Blue Cross Pet Cemetery”
It will be placed near the zebra crossing opposite the Fox under the Hill
