Bargaining Updates

Old Adobe Teachers' Association and OAUSD have reached an agreement.

The tentative agreement includes the following:

Effective July 1, 2023, certificated salaries increased by 10%.
Effective July 1, 2024, certificated salaries increased by 5%.
Effective July 1, 2023, medical coverage will increase to $18,834.

All we are asking for is salary and benefits that match state averages from 2020-2021!!!

The students of Old Adobe Union School District deserve the best resources and an educator that can afford to live and work in the district.

The Old Adobe District recently said “We recognize the value of teachers' positive impact on educating future generations and they are the backbone of our work.”

However:

The District’s financials show that they have significantly more money than they anticipated, and yet, are offering less than previous years.

NOT yet willing to meet statewide averages for health benefits.
NOT yet willing to make a two year deal (we’d have to negotiate AGAIN in a few months time).
NOT yet willing to pay statewide average salary.

We want the best resources for our students and students need access to a permanent educator who can afford to live and work in the district.

We are heading into fact finding and awaiting the district to compensate the backbone of their work.
