I am an agricultural economist and postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zürich, working with the Food Systems Economics and Policy Group and the Global Health Engineering Group. Prior to this, I held research positions at the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (Nigeria), the University of Göttingen (Germany), and at ETH Zürich (Switzerland), where I completed my PhD in Agricultural Economics. I was also a visiting researcher at KU Leuven (Belgium).
My research addresses policy-relevant questions at the intersection of agri-food systems, gender, labor economics, and development in low-income settings. For example: What do agri-food jobs look like (number of jobs, wage earnings and working conditions) across farms and vulnerable groups in the rural farm sector? How well do agricultural labor markets function in low-income settings? In exploring these topics, I combine a wide range of descriptive analyses, quasi-experimental methods, and field experiments, drawing on secondary household survey datasets and primary data collection.
I completed an MSc in International Agribusiness and Rural Development from the University of Göttingen (Germany) and a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan (Nigeria). Outside of work, I enjoy brainstorming, playing football, and gaming.

I enjoy doing fieldwork! I have had the incredible opportunity to manage and conduct primary data collections with hard-to-reach actors in Nigeria's rural farming sector, including seasonal migrant workers, casual workers, and farmers.
