First Holy Communion is one of our three sacraments of initiation. It is through these sacraments of initiation that we become full members of the Church. We receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time during the First Holy Communion. The Holy Eucharist refers to Christ’s body, blood, soul, and divinity that are truly present in the consecrated host and wine (now called the Body and Blood of Christ) on the altar. For us as Catholics, there is nothing greater than to receive Jesus, truly present in the Eucharist at Mass.
Youth Order of Christian Initiation for Childre (OCIC), ages 7+, is the process for unbaptized children or children baptized in another faith so they may enter the church and fully initiate (Baptism, Eucharist, & Confirmation).

Students must be in 1st - 8th grade.
Students in 9th - 12th grade enroll in our Youth Confirmation Program for High School Students. Registration & Orientation will be in-person in our hall on AUGUST 23 & 30 from 2PM-4PM. Provide a copy of the teen’s birth, Baptism, and First Communion certificate. BOTH STUDENT AND PARENT(S) MUST ATTEND REGISTRATION & ORIENTATION.
If your child is unbaptized or baptized in a different faith, you will need to enroll them in our Youth OCIC program. The registration is the same process used for First Communion Students.
Parents must provide a copy of their child's birth and baptism certificate on the day of registration.

CLASSES ARE WEEKLY ON TUESDAY STARTING SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 FROM 5:00PM - 6:30PM.
BOTH THE STUDENT(S) AND A PARENT/ LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST ATTEND CLASSES.

Primera Comunión Y OICA Para Jóvenes
La Primera Comunión es uno de nuestros tres sacramentos de iniciación. Es a través de estos sacramentos de iniciación que nos convertimos en miembros plenos de la Iglesia. Recibimos la Sagrada Eucaristía por primera vez durante la Primera Comunión. La Sagrada Eucaristía se refiere al cuerpo, la sangre, el alma y la divinidad de Cristo que están verdaderamente presentes en la hostia y el vino consagrados (ahora llamados Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo) en el altar. Para nosotros como católicos, no hay nada más grande que recibir a Jesús, verdaderamente presente en la Eucaristía, en la Misa.
Orden de Iniciación Cristiana para Niños (OCIC), edades 7+, es el proceso para niños no bautizados o niños bautizados en otra fe para que puedan ingresar a la iglesia e iniciarse plenamente (Bautismo, Eucaristía, y Confirmación).

Los estudiantes deben estar en 1º a 8º grado.
Los estudiantes de 9º a 12º grado se inscriberen en nuestro Programa de Confirmación Juvenil para Estudiantes de High School. La inscripción y orientación se realizarán en persona en nuestra salón el 23 y 30 de AGOSTO de 2PM a 4PM. Proporcione una copia del certificado de nacimiento, bautismo y primera comunión del adolescente. TANTO EL ESTUDIANTE COMO LOS PADRES DEBEN ASISTIR A LA INSCRIPCIÓN Y ORIENTACIÓN.
Si su hijo(a) no está bautizado o está bautizado en una fe diferente, deberá inscribirlo en nuestro programa de OCIC para Niños. La inscripción es el mismo proceso que se utiliza para los estudiantes de Primera Comunión.
Los padres deben presentar una copia del certificado de nacimiento y bautismo de su hijo/a el día de la inscripción.
Firmar el formulario de "Participación en el Catecismo Familiar".
CLASSES EMPIEZAN EL 1 DE SEPTIEMBRE A LAS 5:00PM EN LA IGLESIA.
LAS CLASES SON SEMANALES LOS MARTES A PARTIR DEL 1 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 2026 DE 5:00PM A 6:30PM.
TANTO EL ESTUDIANTE COMO UN PADRE/TUTOR LEGAL DEBEN ASISTIR LAS CLASES.
