For over 15 years now, “The Thirsty Nine” German Polka Band has been Oktoberfest Santa Cruz’s main musical entertainment. These are all local Central Coast musicians who donate their time to our event. They give their fee to high school student music college scholarships. How cool is that?! You can support them at our event by making a donation to them.

Oktoberfest Santa Cruz prides itself on being a family friendly event. Your “Kinder” can come enjoy our huge jump house! 

We have two chicken dances, one primarily for children and their parents. The other dance is strictly for adults. Oktoberfest Santa Cruz’s “Chicken Dance” is hosted by Otto the Munich Chicken.

This crowd-participation interactive song has been an Oktoberfest Santa Cruz tradition for over 15 years. Originally taught to children as a German-language ditty, it is now enjoyed by adults for its fun and frivolity. Come and be a part of this fun Oktoberfest Santa Cruz tradition.

We encourage our visitors to get into the spirit of Oktoberfest. Come and dress up in your Lederhosen and Dirndls. We give prizes ($100 Gift Card) for Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Female Single ($25 Beer Card), Best Dressed Male Single ($25 Beer Card).
