Scholarship Program
Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors and students attending post-secondary schools who are blind or visually impaired across Oklahoma. Awards are made without discrimination based on age, race, gender, or economic status.
Students who are blind or visually impaired from Oklahoma and who plan to attend a post-secondary school—or who are currently enrolled—often have additional financial needs for services and equipment their non-disabled peers may not require. Each scholarship provides $1,000 to assist with those needs. Recipients may determine how to use the funds (e.g., tuition, books, fees, equipment, etc.).
Two scholarships—the High School Callie Jordan Memorial Scholarship and the High School VR Carter Memorial Scholarship—are available to graduating high school seniors who intend to continue their education.
Two additional scholarships—the Undergraduate Callie Jordan Memorial Scholarship and the Undergraduate VR Carter Memorial Scholarship—are available to current undergraduate college students who intend to continue their education.
Scholarship applications open in December and close in April. Awardees are notified by May.
