HOW DOES THE SERIES WORK? 

• Riders earn points for placing 1st through 30th place in each race. 

• The rider who collects the greatest number of points over the 7 race series is the winner. 

• Riders must complete 4 races in the 2023 series to win the overall competition. 

• 2023 will have no DROP races. If you miss, your score for that event is zero points.

• There is a 15 minute protest period after the officials post results for each category in which riders may contest the results for that race. 

• The series winner for each category will be declared on the day of the last OKGP Series Race, and after the final results for each category have been posted.

• In the event of a tie, the placing on the day of the final race will determine the series winner.

OKLAHOMA GRAND PRIX SERIES CATEGORIES

• Women Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3, Cat 4. 

• Men Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3, Cat 4.

• Masters 40-49, 50-59, 60+and Single Speed

• Juniors 9-14 Boys, 9-14 Girls, 15-18 Boys, and 15-18 Girls

Cat 5 men and women will be scored for points, but not eligible for a series jersey.

UPGRADEING MID SERIES 

Riders upgrading mid-season take half of their points with them to the higher category, but only if they upgrade right after the race #3. Points are transferred after the racer has done at least one race in that new category. For instance, for a 7 race series riders must upgrade right after the 3rd race to take their points with them. Otherwise all points earned after will not count in new category. 

This rule applies to Women/Men Category 3, 4, 5 riders. After a racer upgrades his/her points in the lower category are no longer counted as part of that category’s competition. The upgrade/points rule only applies to category racers and NOT age group racers. Masters categories can NOT transfer points to another category. Your Cyclocross age is your age on 12/31 of the 2024 Calendar year

RACE STAGING

• The call up list for all OKGP races will be based off of series standings.

• OKGP standings will be at registration at all races so you can know your call up place for your race.

• Riders must be at staging when called up in order to hold their spot. Miss staging, loose your spot.
