Privacy Policy for OK Cattle Tracker

This Privacy Policy describes how OK Cattle Tracker (the "App"), developed and operated by Tyler Burns (the "Developer," "we," "us"), handles information when you use the App. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information about you through the App. The App contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry. We operate no backend server that receives data from your device.
2. Information You Store on Your Device
The App stores the following information you enter or capture, entirely on your device:
Business and farm names you choose
Cattle records (tag identifiers, lot assignments, sick status)
Vaccination and shot history
Photos you take or select
Background logo image (if you set one)
This information is stored using standard iOS storage mechanisms and does not leave your device through any action of the App.
3. iCloud Backup
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device (a standard iOS feature controlled by you in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup), iOS may include the App's data in your encrypted iCloud backup. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy practices, not ours. We do not have access to your iCloud backups.
4. The "Request a Feature" Function
The App includes an in-app button labeled "Request a Feature" in Settings. When tapped, the App opens your device's default mail application with a pre-filled message that may include your business name, the App version, and a description of your device and iOS version.
You retain full control over the message. You may edit it, choose not to send it, or discard it. If you choose to send it, the message travels through your own email service provider directly to the Developer's email address. The App does not store, transmit, or have access to the message after you tap the button. By sending feature requests, you consent to the Developer reading and responding to them at the Developer's discretion.
5. Camera and Photo Library Access
The App requests access to your camera and photo library for the purpose of attaching photos to cattle records. Photos you select or capture remain on your device in the App's private storage. They are not uploaded, shared, or transmitted by the App.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us at the email address below and we will delete any such information.
7. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with, or send data to, any third-party services or analytics providers. Distribution of the App is handled by Apple Inc. through the App Store and TestFlight, which are governed by Apple's own privacy practices, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
8. Data Security
While we do not collect data, the App relies on the security mechanisms provided by iOS to protect data stored on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device through passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete all App data at any time through Settings → Reset & Start Over within the App. This permanently removes all locally stored business, farm, cattle, photo, and configuration data from your device. Any data already included in an iCloud backup is governed by Apple and your iCloud settings.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Developer makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of records you enter, the App's continuous availability, or its fitness for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and management of records maintained in the App, including for any veterinary, regulatory, business, or financial obligations that depend on such records.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App, including without limitation loss of data, loss of livestock-related decisions made in reliance on the App, or business interruption.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by updating release notes. Continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
