(3N Research Group)
Our research spans nanotechnology, functional nanomaterials, disease diagnostics, water technology and nanoenergy underpinning the health-water-environment-energy nexus for solving human health challenges and improving quality of life.
The Achadu Nanolab pioneers innovative technologies through advanced nanotechnology research using state-of-the-art processes, techniques, and equipment.
We have successfully secured several prestigious grant awards, including the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) Awards from the Royal Society. This funding supports an ambitious project focused on developing sustainable nanotechnology-based water purification systems to address the water crises in developing countries across Africa, aligning closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals pertaining to clean water and sanitation. This project, which has received global attention and supports (BBC News coverage), has the potential to improve access to clean, safe drinking water for millions of people in the developing world.
