We are not actively recruiting specific core member roles at this time; however, we always welcome interest from prospective members.

We are not actively recruiting specific support roles at this time, but we accept volunteer members on a rolling basis. 

We are looking for members with a critical lens towards structures and a compassionate perspective towards people. 

By critical lens towards structures, we mean individuals who challenge white colonial, cisheteropatriarchal classist, ablesanist perspectives through their research, teaching, and everyday life (i.e. someone with commitments to decolonization, anti-colonialisms, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-Black racism, anti-Asian racism, anti-Latine/x racism, feminisms, disability justice, gender justice, queer and trans rights etc.). 

By a compassionate perspective towards people, we mean individuals who are emotionally intelligent, reflexive of their own privileges and traumas, who can articulate their viewpoints, boundaries, and expectations in ways that do not personally demean or attack others. 

We are also looking for individuals who have a commitment to embodying principles of community care, such as: 

• enacting consent on an everyday basis

• respecting the identities and lived experiences of team members and the communities we seek to support 

• being committed to equitably sharing space

• taking responsibility for delegated work including asking for clarification or support if needed 

• providing support to collective members when needed

• working collaboratively to solve problems

• communicating and honouring one’s own boundaries and limits

• honouring other people’s boundaries and limits

Student Eligibility:

• Ph.D., Ed.D. post-doc students and M.Ed., M.A. and MT students at OISE (all departments welcome)

• Part-time, flex-time, and full-time students
