Charter: If you are creating a chapter, ie it's never existed before, you are chartering your chapter. Please get with the State YC Division to find out your official name and unit number.
Reactivation: If your chapter was chartered at one point and has dormant, you are reactivating the chapter. Please get with the State YC Division to find out your official name and unit number.

Application for Reactivation Letter: Draft this after holding an Organizational Meeting.
List of Members (Enclosure 1): List at least 25 members
List of Elected Officers (Enclosure 2): During your organizational meeting you must hold elections for the following positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Election for Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer can also be held.
Chapter Advisor, Memorandum: If you are reactivating a high school or college chapter, the chapter advisor must be an employee of the school. This letter acknowledges your advisor's commitment to supporting the chapter.
Letters of Support
President, Local NAACP (Adult Branch): The local NAACP President must accept the chapter's election and the selection of the chapter's advisor.
President, State Youth & College Division: On behalf of the State President, the State Youth & College President will acknowledge their support of the reactivation.
