OhMyGuide! requires access to your device's precise and approximate location data. This is a fundamental requirement for the service to function.
Why we collect location: This data is necessary to allow our chatbot, Lisa, to provide real-time suggestions regarding monuments, hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions in your immediate vicinity.
User Consent: Data collection occurs only after the user has provided explicit consent through a prominent disclosure displayed within the app.
Chat Activation: The tourist chat (Lisa) is enabled exclusively after location permissions are accepted. Without such consent, the main features of the app will remain unavailable, as the service cannot provide location-based guidance.
Method: Data is collected only while the app is in use (foreground location).
Interaction Data: Messages sent to the Lisa chatbot to process tourist-related responses.
Device Information: Device model and operating system version for technical optimization purposes (Android 15+).
