Scott W. Ohlmacher

About

I am an economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

I my primary interest is in economic measurement including the use of survey and administrative data. I study empirical economics with an emphasis on organizational economics, firm dynamics, and productivity. My work lies at the intersection of micro and macroeconomics.

My research makes extensive use of the Management and Organizational Practices Survey (MOPS) to examine how organizational decisions impact business growth and performance. Surveys related to the MOPS have now been conducted in more than a dozen countries worldwide. For more information on this family of surveys, see managementresearch.com.
