Born in Tokyo, 1975. Majored in semiconductor electronics at Tohoku University. Engaged in research on manufacturing process and reliability of gate dielectrics, research on dynamically reconfigurable programmable LSI, and research on design productivity of LSI. After completing PhD at Tohoku University in 2003, worked as a postdoctoral fellow there for one year before joining the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in 2004. Since then, has been researching software and hardware development methods for embedded systems and FPGAs. In 2009, joined TOPS Systems Corp. From 2011 to 2019, assistant professor, Department of Information Science, School of Engineering at Utsunomiya University. In 2019, joined Tokai University, as an associate professor. His current research focuses on FPGA design techniques for low-power robotics and vision systems.

Graduate students (MC)・Research students・4th year students of undergraduate students are divided into 4 different groups (robots/software/hardware/systems) according to their interests and studying hard but friendly. Members of pre-seminar (3rd year students) are working hard to widen their knowledge while following their seniors' projects.
