Breakfast with the Birds 8:00 - 9:00 AM

Enjoy a relaxing morning of birdwatching with Naturalist Jason Lee and local birding volunteers while sipping free coffee and enjoying doughnuts (while supplies last). Whether you're a beginner or an experienced birder, come watch the feeders, learn to identify local birds, and enjoy great company. Bring a lawn chair if possible.

Archery and BB Gun First Shot Program 1:00 - 2:00 PM Canceled due to rain. Check back for more updates.

Join our amazing group of volunteers and naturalist as they teach archery and bb gun basics with an emphasis on safety. This program is for all ages, not just kids.

Location: Mosquito Lake Archery Range (Park in the campground overflow parking lot near the camp store. You will see the archery trailer near the archery range.)

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: NO open-toed shoes and kids must be accompanied by an adult. Waivers will be available on site or can be brought with you.

Owl Prowl at Mosquito Lake 6:30 PM

Enjoy an evening of owl pellet dissection, a short presentation on the owls of Ohio, and a guided hike through the campground as we listen and look for barred owls. Hike portion canceled due to weather.

Campfire Potluck 7:30 PM Postponed due to weather.

There’s nothing better than good food, good company, and an evening around the campfire!

Campers, park visitors, and members of the community are invited to join us for a relaxed Campfire Potluck Night at Mosquito Lake State Park. Bring your camp chair and whatever you’d like to enjoy or cook over the fire—hot dogs, s’mores, hobo pies, popcorn, campfire treats, or your own favorite fireside creation. Feel free to bring something to share, or simply bring enough for yourself and your family. We’ll provide the campfire—you bring the fun! Join us on the deck with your snack to cheer on the Buckeyes as they take on the Longhorns! Go Buckeyes!!! This isn’t a cooking competition or a formal dinner. It’s simply a chance to slow down, gather around the fire.
