As LREDA members we commit to adhere to the LREDA Code of Professional Practices, and to hold one another accountable in adhering to this Code. In addition, we covenant as follows in our Ohio Meadville District LREDA Chapter.
We will support one another in our commitment to Unitarian Universalism and in our commitment to strong faith communities.
As per the Code of Professional Practice, we will each respect any and all confidences shared by colleagues.
We will appreciate and respect the diverse gifts each brings to our Chapter.
We will assume good intentions on the part of colleagues.
As professional religious educators, we understand the complexities of our relationships within our Chapter, and of our relationships with individuals and organizations outside our Chapter. Recognizing this complexity, we will endeavor to build a climate of trust in our Chapter, creating a community where we can communicate honestly about our personal and professional lives.
In any conflict with LREDA colleagues, we will be both sensitive and honest, and speak directly with one another. If a conflict with colleagues cannot be resolved directly, we will seek out help, including the help of collegial good officers.
