Research Interests and Goals
In the new era of electronics, the focus of research and development is shifting from miniaturization of long-established technologies to the coordinated introduction of new devices, new integration technologies, and new architectures for computing. The future of computing beyond Moore’s Law looks to center around building heterogeneous computing platforms that can handle diverse workloads.
Our research is focused on designing energy-efficient novel electronic devices to cater to the demands of specialized domain-specific computing. Our interest lies in understanding new physics and material characteristics to develop behavioral and circuit models for conceptualizing the novel devices and benchmarking their performance. We take a physics to devices to circuits approach that aims to connect to architectures and algorithms for the next era of computing.
