In accordance with the BC Strata Property Act , Section 146 and the OGT Bylaws, property owners are obligated to furnish the Strata Corporation with the necessary information about tenants or extended-stay guests (those staying more than 2 weeks). This requirement is fulfilled through the completion of Form K.
Form K necessitates both the owner and tenant's acknowledgment, confirming that the tenant or guest has received a copy of the strata bylaws and commits to adhering to them.
Strata Bylaw 4 (3) states:
An owner must notify the Strata Corporation in writing of the names and addresses of persons permitted by the owner to use and occupy his/her strata lot in the absence of the owner, whether as a tenant or guests, at least one (1) week before such person occupy the strata lot.
