Hi, I'm Oli! I'm a certified professional dog trainer who has worked with thousands of dogs on behavior modification, basic skills, socialization, and more.

Force Free training uses science-based, positive reinforcement techniques to reward your pet when they do something you want in order to make the behavior more likely to occur again.
Force Free training means we will never recommend the use of prong or choke collars, shock collars, and other tools meant to cause pain or discomfort to your pet in order to change their behavior. Studies have shown that aversive training tools and techniques are associated with long-term behavior problems such as aggression towards people and dogs.
We will focus on setting your pet up for success in their environment, managing the world around them, and giving them the skills to choose a desireable behavior instead of a 'problematic' behavior. This is in accordance with the IAABC and CCPDT's recommendations to adhere to the Humane Hierarchy of Behavior-Change Procedures.
We are going to challenge you not to think of any behavior as "good" or "bad"! All behavior serves a purpose, and your pet will do whatever gets them their preferred results. We will work on showing your pet what you want them to do instead of punishing them if they do something you don't want.
We follow the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior's Humane Dog Training position statement, which recommends that, "only reward -based training methods are used for all dog training, including the treatment of behavior problems."
