FACTS.

He was the first Time Lord to enter the Time Vortex.
Was worshipped as a god called “Ohm” by a secret society called “Adherents of Ohm.” They believed him to be a ‘trapped god.’
One of the three most important figures in Time Lord Society alongside Rassilon and the Other.
The public forgot that Omega’s birth name had been Peylix, with the name instead becoming the subject of a story about a time plumber who questioned how everything worked, which made everything stop working.
By the time of his fifth incarnation, the Doctor’s battles with Omega had turned Gallifreyan culture against the founder, having revealed many of the unfavorable aspects to Omega’s character; Omega went from a revered founder to a story used to scare children into doing homework. By the time of the Celestial Preservation Agency, Omega was no longer seen as a hero, merely considered a joke.
Omega’s willpower was strong enough to create whole world with living creatures inside the black hole out of anti-matter. After returning to his own universe and gaining a new body, his power is very limited, but he still is capable of telekinesis and anti-mater control to some extent.

EARLY LIFE/BACKSTORY.

The DARK TIMES/OLD TIMES under the Pythia’s rule was a very dangerous, unstructured and chaotic time. Born as Peylix to a family of farmers, he grew up alongside his younger sister, Genesis. There was fear in the family for the possibility of Genesis being the next Pythia because of her abilities as an Individual, leading their parents to have Peylix raise her. Besides teaching her the ways of their family profession, he would also teach her how to watch the stars and wonder of the possibilities out there along with things from the Academia. When Peylix became friends with Rassilon, the simple wondering of possibilities started to turn into experimenting them as he began to find his love for science and started looking past the life of taking over the family business, wanting to change Gallifrey for the better and away from the Pythia’s rule of magic and superstition that was keeping their people limited.

Although Peylix wasn’t particularly close to his parents, Phaedra and Dimitrios, he did respect them and they encouraged him to continue with his dreams to become a solar engineer. They were lost during a incident on the farms, leaving Peylix and his sister as orphans. However, this only encouraged him to help lead Gallifrey into a new age alongside his best friend.

CANON SUMMARY.

Born as Peylix in the ‘Dark Times’ of Gallifrey — an era where Gallifreyan civilization was turned outwards, perfecting more advanced forms of interstellar travel to guide the development of less advanced cultures, setting themselves up as gods, Peylix befriended Rassilon and the two worked together, being among the only Gallifreyan’s who gave much thought to the future and destiny of Gallifrey. Despite Rassilon letting Omega call him, ‘Rass’, his friend was also dismissive towards him. Peylix was left with the nickname, “Omega”, after he received the “Omega Grade”, the lowest mark possible, for an essay he had written exploring the possibilities of increasing the Gallifreyan power by exploding a star and harnessing the resulting energy for Time Travel. His teacher, Luvis, saw the plan as ‘madness and pure idiocy,’ and made Omega the first person to ever receive the grade. Rassilon argued the new nickname gave Omega a reputation and made him known to the public.

Omega and Rassilon became solar engineers, a respected class of scientists among the Gallifreyans. While Rassilon dreamed of immortality, Omega, believing immortality to be impossible, turned him over to the prospect of developing time travel. In spite of the Omega grade he received on his paper about the subject, Omega and Rassilon worked on the project for several years until they had developed the final form of the plan to detonate a black hole and funnel its power back to Gallifrey, which they presented before the Gallifreyan Council. Omega and Rassilon were only able to begin their experiments after a revolution occurred on Gallifrey. Although Omega pleaded for Rassilon to stop it, his friend argued that it was the only way to remove those who opposed their progress. Afterward, Rassilon became a politican, while Omega carried on as a scientist.

Omega was lost during the very same great working by which he granted Gallifrey the power to travel in time: the stasis halo of Omega’s Starbreaker, the Eurydice, was sabotaged, exposing it, and the Starbreaker’s crew, to the fury of the black hole. However, Omega lived, surviving in a world made out of Anti-Matter, trying to find a way to escape since then.

PERSONALITY.

Omega was eager to bring his fellow Gallifreyan’s into a ‘new age of enlightenment.’ However, after being trapped in the Anti-Matter universe for centuries, Omega came to be very bitter about his fellow Time Lords, who he believed sacrificed him to attain greatness. He held eternal enmity towards his race and sought to avenge himself. Countless aeons alone left him with little care about anything, deeming the destruction of reality as a “spectacle to behold”. He also became paranoid and developed violent mood swings. He lacked any restraint and had a vicious temper. The Doctor considered him to be a madman. However, he was not without heart, and appeared enchanted by small things such as a child’s smile and a steam organ during his brief escape from the anti-matter universe, suggesting that his extreme fury was merely the by-product of loneliness and despair.

Despite being insane, Omega was noted for his extremely strong will, which allowed him to reshape the antimatter universe in the singularity to create an environment as well as servants that suited him. This made him linked to the antimatter realm, as his will alone kept it alive and prevented his escape. He was completely unaware of the fact that his body had corroded away as a result of prolonged exposure to the antimatter realm, and that both his physical form and the world he created were made by his will alone.

PEYLIX is a solar engineer with plans to bring Gallifreyans into a ‘new age of enlightenment.’ During the Dark Times, he becomes friends with Rassilon and together, they both work to bring Gallifrey away from the Pythia’s rule of mystery and superstition and into a world of science and reason. Eventually taking on the nickname, Omega, he has his eyes set on the possibility of Time Travel.

This is also the Omega who went on the mission to the star QQABA in his starbreaker called the EURYDICE, to secure the power source of a supernova that the Time Lords required for Time Travel. However, his ship was sabotaged and he was lost in a black hole, presumed to be dead. But he survives, waiting in the world of Antimatter for billions of years all alone and feeling abandoned by his own people, wanting to find a way to return. By the time the Second and Third Doctor come across him, his body has corroded and he is only left as a conscious will of existence in the world of his own making.

He does attempt to return to the matter world again, coming across a member of the High Council, Hedin, who felt sympathy for him and helped him obtain the Fifth Doctor’s biodata and achieve physical existence once more. But sadly, this was a brief victory as his body started to corrode again and Omega was lost once more.

PERSONALITY.

Peylix/Omega is originally a shy, energetic boy who loves science and is calmed by it.

Omega is slightly jealous of Rassilon because of his successes that are publicly celebrated, while Omega’s own work is usually kept secret from society. However, he is also deeply proud of his friend and continues to support him, but Omega just wants recognition too.
He considers his suit as armour so he can look like a great warrior despite it just being a protective piece to keep him safe from the black hole.
Omega would do anything to keep his crew and friends safe, even if it means sacrificing himself.
This also applies to using violence. Although he originally opposed using violence, he will use it for a good cause, even if it means shooting someone in order to save a friend. He came to believe that, if he needed to be a monster to bring the Gallifreyans into a “new age of enlightenment”, then he would fully become said monster.
Rassilon and Omega were among the only Gallifreyans who gave much thought to the future and destiny of Gallifrey.
While Rassilon dreamed of immortality, Omega, believing immortality to be impossible, turned him over to the prospect of developing time travel.

V; Reborn Omega

Finally finding success in returning to the matter world with a new body that won’t corrode, Omega tries to catch up on all he has missed out on and enjoy his new chance at life. However, it’s a struggle since he has been alone for billions of years and still feels abandoned by his people.

PERSONALITY.

He can come off very closed off, stiff, and like a statue, choosing to keep his emotions to hidden around others because of being isolated so long by himself, making him socially awkward…unless you’re rassilon or someone he knows very well. Then he’s a bit more relaxed around you, but still slightly awkward.
He likes being in the sun, or feeling the wind because it reminds him that he is alive. He appreciates those little things.
He takes up reading to try and catch up on everything he’s missed out on.
Refuses to go near a lab, ship, or anything dangerous for fear of being lost again

V; Female Omega

Coming after Reborn Omega, she happens after her previous self has time to acclimate to life beyond the Antimatter universe, catching up on all he has missed and trying to learn how to go about things again. It was the first time Omega had regenerated, so she is the result of Regeneration Trauma. It results in everyone thinking that maybe he hadn’t survived it. This is the first time Omega has taken on a Female body, but she still remains having the same personality because of her strong will.

PERSONALITY.

She may appear younger than any of her previous incarnations, but she is the oldest of the bunch. Don’t let her youthful or feminine appearance make you think any different of her, Omega still has an iron fist if you wrong her.
Because of her regeneration trauma, she finds out she has residual abilities of her powers from her time in the antimatter universe which present itself in the form of TELEKINESIS (control over matter). So if she is angry or stressed, it’s best to be careful or you might have something flying in your direction. This makes her far more lethal than her other selves too.
She likes to cuddle and drink tea. Both make her feel completely whole. Also has a knack for eating sweets when stressed, or just in general. She’s got a sweet tooth.
She is more open about her OCD with needing to touch everything in order to know the world won’t just fall away from her. She likes to have security and can be quite clingy because she spent so long before having nothing solid.
She is pretty much the incarnation of Omega that’s finally trying to get their life back on track, getting back into science and experimenting.

V; War Omega

For the first time, Omega tries to take on the role of warrior instead of just being a scientist.
The coldest and cruelest of his other incarnations. He doesn’t let his emotions get in the way or interfere with his work.

V; Doctor Omega

Taking place during the episode ARC OF INFINITY and after, WHAT IF OMEGA WAS SUCCESSFUL IN TAKING THE FIFTH DOCTOR’S BODY AND IT DIDN’T CORRODE? There is a double of the Doctor out there in the universe…but who can you be sure you’re running into? This is an AU verse exploring that.

PERSONALITY.

For some of Omega’s interpretation of things, (ESPECIALLY IN THIS VERSE IN PARTICULAR) I go by the Big Finish Audio: OMEGA. It takes place after Arc of infinity with an Omega who clearly has a SPLIT PERSONALITY between himself and the Fifth Doctor, trying to figure out his past and the events that led to his death. Omega thinks Rassilon was the cause of it, but as the Doctor points out, Omega isn’t exactly in the right mind and is getting things messed up.
WARNING: If you aren’t comfortable rping with a muse with a split personality, this verse may not be for you.
He will try to act like the Doctor if someone calls him that. However, he won’t fully act like him. There will be subtle cues to it to let you know something’s off.
However, since he nows shares DNA with the Doctor, he is able to access information about him, even the things no one else knows….dun, dun, dun.
He just wants to enjoy his freedom and life outside of the AntiMatter universe. Leave him be.
