To support early career mathematicians the OFSMPC Organization Committee selects 25 young researchers in order to provide them with accommodation. The selected applicants will be accommodated in the dormitory of Khazar University. The accommodation days are May 19-24 (6 nights).

Who May Apply

Advanced undergraduate students involved in research, Graduate and PhD students, postdocs with the age under 35 are eligible to apply for accommodation.

How to apply

To apply for accommodation, first of all, the applicant should send a request email to ofsmp2018@gmail.com with the request for accommodation. The official certificate confirming applicant's affiliation and the copy of passport's ID page must be attached to his/her request email. The applicant will be mailed back within 12 hours after sending the request email to inform whether there is an available room or not. If there is any available room it will be reserved. Next, the applicant should send the receipt of the full registration payment to ofsmp2018@gmail.com within 72 hours after sending the request email. If the applicant does not send the receipt of the payment within 72 hours, the reservation will be canceled. As soon as the Organizing Secretariat has received your payment, a letter of confirmation of reservation will be e-mailed.

What are Selection Criteria?

The applicants will be selected following the order of receiving time of their request emails: the first 25 applicants who are paid the full registration fee will be provided with accommodation.

Amenities and Services of the Dormitory

Conveniently located close to both the main Neftchiler Campus of Khazar University (3 min walking distance) and the Neftchiler metro station (10 min walking distance), the dormitory offers a wide range of services.

• Rooms: shared (minimum occupancy: 2 people; maximum occupancy: 4 people);
• Each room is equipped with a bed, a bedside drawer, wardrobe, and a table;
• Toilets and showers: shared, outside of the rooms;
• Kitchen: a shared kitchen/buffet area with cooking and storage (refrigerator) facilities;
• Laundry facilities with washing machines (with dryers), irons, etc;
• Socializing lounge room: an area with computers, TV, sofas welcomes your guests or visitors;
• Internet: Wi-Fi connection covers all dormitory area;
• Storage area;
• Quietly located study room.
