General
Both fic and art must be uploaded to AO3 in our 2026 collection between July 1st and July 31st, 2026. You're welcome to post stories chapter by chapter throughout the posting period, but it must be posted in its entirety by the end of July.
How you post—together or separate—is up to the artist and the writer. However, since this is a collaborative event, we do suggest that you post the art inline with the text and list both artist and writer as authors.
An alternative, should the author and artist be more comfortable posting separately, link the fic and art using the “Inspired by X work” function.
As a default, betas must be credited, unless your beta reader does not want to be listed.
The AO3 Archive Warnings are mandatory. If you fail to use these tags appropriately, one of the mods will contact you and work with you to address this issue. Failure to make changes to your tags or no response to a mod’s initial message within 48-hours will result with your work being excluded from the collection. If the timeframe is an issue, let a mod know as soon as possible to discuss.
In general, use common sense—if you want to avoid spoilers, consider choosing the “Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings” option and writing a summary of the chapter/fic in the author’s note at the end.
If you’re in doubt when tagging, the mods are more than happy to help.
Fics still incomplete on August 1st, 2026, may be removed from the collection. Please reach out to the mods if you're struggling to meet the deadline.

We don't recommend using social media sites or services like imgur for hosting images embedded or linked from AO3, as the image URLs may be unstable or subject to content restrictions/TOS violations.

AO3 supports embedding images hosted elsewhere using the Insert/Edit Image button in the rich text editor or writing HTML.

For accessibility, please include a brief alt text (description) and a longer image description/ID in plain text below the image, as a caption. (This is also helpful when image hosting fails!)

You are welcome to promote your fic/art on any and all social media platforms once it is available on AO3. Please use #OFMDReverseBang and tag us on Bluesky or Tumblr so that we can repost your work!
