Praising good and punishing evil, he is the very picture of the knight in shining armor that children dream of. 

The wielder of the sacred sword of the planet from another world. He was raised by Sir Ector as his ward alongside the knight's own son, Kay. However Arthur had no knowledge of his heritage as Ector madesure to raise him with as much love as he would give Kay. So during those bright days of spring Arthur would be found running through the fields and woods with Bedivere in tow, chasing after adventures and his older brother as well. 

And, naturally, avoiding his lessons with Merlin as best as possible since he considered them "weird". 

A simple life for innocent youths seeking to one day become knights. But it was that innocence that pushed Arthur to seek out the legendary sword in the stone, Caliburn. Without realizing what it meant to draw the blade from its resting place, he stepped forth during the festival and pulled it with ease. Thankfully before anyone could say anything that would destroy the seventeen year old's entire world, Merlin quickly whisked him away. As far as she and Ector were concerned, it was still not yet time to tell Arthur of his true parentage. Particularly since King Uther was still alive. 

And still a danger even towards his own son.

Thus came the days of summer when Arthur would journey the land as a knight errant with Bedivere, ever loyal, and Kay at his side. Journeying the entirety of Britain to do good deeds and learn what it meant to be a king, though of course the latter was a secret Merlin kept to herself. Until the day came when those summer days were forced to end. When Merlin brought Arthur to Camelot upon Uther falling gravely ill. There his true heritage was revealed... And Arthur's freedom fully taken from him.

On top of having the holy sword of the planet, Excalibur, Arthur was born with the heart of the Red Dragon of Britain within himself. Additionally, he has the Lady of the Lake's blessing so he never needs to fear his longtime childhood foe of water that cannot be waded through. 

Thanks to the dragon heart, he burns through his own body's mana and energy at an accelerated rate. To combat this he taught himself how to cook in order to provide himself with additional meals without feeling like a burden on those around him. That...and he wanted to learn how to make dishes that could bring smiles to the faces of his loved ones.
