“If you’re not first, you’re last.”
I’m not in this game for a paycheck. I’m in it because I love it. I’m fiercely competitive and fully committed to my craft. When the weather lines up and I’ve got the time, I’ve turned 12-hour trips into 24-hour marathons without hesitation. I run as hard and as far as I can, stay out as long as conditions allow, and give every single customer everything I’ve got; every trip, every day. Sure, there are days when the fish just don’t cooperate (especially when we’re targeting specific species) That’s part of the game. But one thing I can promise you: nobody ever leaves my boat feeling like we didn’t give it everything. We throw the kitchen sink at them before calling it a day. If you're stepping on my boat, you’re getting 100% of my effort from the moment we leave the dock to the moment we tie back up.
Mamba Mentality - Growing up in a sports-oriented environment, I immersed myself in baseball and football (sometimes) year-round from the ages of 8 to 18. While my parents didn't engage in hunting or fishing and weren’t particularly supportive of my outdoor hobbies, they instilled in me the drive to excel in everything I pursued. I bring this same competitive spirit to fishing, striving to have the best catch when we return to the dock. Although I try not to focus on what other board shots look like, I often find myself wanting to outdo them. Whether I'm playing "Go Fish" against my daughter, catching the most and/or biggest yellowfin back at the dock, or anything else in this world that involves keeping score, I'm trying to win!
Kobe Bryant was one of my favorite athletes during my childhood, largely due to his unwavering dedication and incredible work ethic. Inspired by his example, I taught myself the intricacies of offshore fishing after one of my uncles doubted my ability to succeed due to its high costs and steep learning curve. While I don’t consider myself a master yet, my commitment to learning and improving every single day drives me to reach new heights in the offshore fishing world.
I've been fortunate enough to have earned notable finishes in Gulf coast tournaments such as the Swordfish Showdown and Louisiana Tuna Wahoo Classic, been featured in "Marlin Magazine" and "Louisiana Sportsman", and I continue to push the limits with every trip.
You’ll fish aboard hull #1 2023 35’ Nerowalker Catamaran, Makin’ Grocery; a fast, stable, fully equipped offshore machine powered by quad Suzuki 300s and loaded with premium gear from Daiwa, Zook, and top-tier sponsors.
If you're after a serious day on the water, not just a boat ride; give me a holler.

**Tackle & Gear**
We provide all rods, reels, tackle, and rigging necessary to handle serious offshore action—including the kind of gear needed to pull amberjack and warsaw grouper out of rig legs and wrecks. We have top notch gear, big thanks to our sponsors Daiwa, Zook, and Seaworx.
In respect for the future of the fishery, we try to avoid using electric reels in water shallower than 400 feet.
**Lodging**
Lodging is available upon request. We partner with several local camp owners and like to support them all. Options range from budget-friendly ($200/night) to higher-end accommodations ($500/night). Your wallet picks your comfort level.
**Food & Beverages**
Meals are not provided onboard. Each angler is responsible for bringing their own food and drinks. If you forget something, *The Barge* has you covered with nearly everything: water, sodas, Gatorade, beer, snacks, beef jerky, sunscreen, and more.
**Gratuity**
Our mates work for tips—industry standard is 20%, based on the full trip cost. Tips are handled at the dock, not online. Please bring cash.
