Offline Distance - A Social Distancing App

Introduction

Offline Distance is a social distancing app which alerts you if you are not making socail distance. In case you stay near of a person "having the same app" for couple of minutes it will alarm you with beep sound and vibration. This app will allow you to fully control the Service, that means you can turn it off when it not necessary like: when you'r staying at hope and don't need to maintain socail distancing you can turn it off.

How to Use

Step 1: First give the necessary permissions by tapping the Proceed button. Then the Next button will be enabled and you can go next page.

Note: This App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to determine if there is any other phone near, that's why Bluetooth permission is needed. And Location Permission is needed BLE to work on android system.

Step 2: Now turn the Circular button ON and it will show the BLE service is started running in the Notification panel. Then you can go back.

Step 3: If any other Phone (Having the App) comes near than 2 Meters (varies hardware wise) and stays for a while it will start Beeping Sound and Vibration with a Notification.

Important Note: This app needs bluetooth and location permission to work properly. Some devices also need GPS.

How It works

The BLE continuously Advertise some data in the background, at the same time it tries to Scan that particular data for a while. It considers data or signal if the device is near 2 meters (approximate due to hardware). If that signal goes beyond the Threshold it starts beeping.
